Delilah (What is Love? Baby Don’t Hurt Me) is a live, improvised re-performance of an episode of the nationally syndicated, call-in radio show Delilah.
“The content of this performance was taken from a single episode of the radio show Delilah from its broadcast on New York's 106.7 Lite FM on Tuesday, June 19th, 2015. The recording was cut for time but not altered in any other way. Emily Oliveira has not heard any portion of the recording and does not know anything about the text or songs contained within it. With the guidance of her cast and collaborators, the eternal wisdom of Delilah Rene Luke, and a set of headphones feeding her the original recording, Emily hopes to channel the divine mystery of Delilah and bring the audience in communion with the immaterial presence of love, powered by song, and received by faith (in love)”
