Everything Happens for a Reason is a re-performance of text from ABC’s The Bachelor. Three seasons of ‘exit interviews’ (one-on-one interviews delivered to camera after a female contestant is broken up with on live television by ‘The Bachelor’) are cut together into a single monologue. The text on cue cards is marked to indicate when contestants cry, and a spray bottle is used to indicate tears. An entire bottle of champagne is typically consumed over the course of the performance.
